RMB is a fully equipped mobile mechanic service working out of 2067 Islington Ave. We bring the tools, the lift gear and the diagnostic kit to your home, your office parking lot, or the shoulder of the road — anywhere in Etobicoke and the west end of Toronto. No tow, no waiting room, no drop-off.
Most jobs that a shop does on a hoist, we can do in your driveway. If a job genuinely needs a lift or a machine we don't carry, we'll tell you on the phone before you book — not after we arrive.

Full OBD-II scan with live data, not just a code read. We trace the fault to the actual component — misfires, oxygen sensors, EVAP leaks, cam and crank sensors, wiring faults — and give you a written explanation of what's wrong and what it costs to fix before anything is touched.

Pads and rotors front and rear, seized calipers freed or replaced, brake fluid flushed, parking brake adjusted. We bed the pads in properly and road-test the car on your own street before we pack up.

Battery testing under load, replacement on the spot, alternator and starter diagnosis, parasitic drain hunting for cars that go flat overnight, and terminal and ground cleaning. If it cranks slow or clicks, this is the call.

Car won't turn over in a plaza lot at 11pm? We carry jump packs, fuel, starting fluid, spare relays and fuses, and the diagnostic gear to find out why it died. If it can be made to run, we make it run. If it can't, we tell you straight and help you decide about a tow.

Oil and filter changes with the correct spec oil for your engine, air and cabin filters, spark plugs, serpentine belts, coolant top-ups and flushes, transmission and differential fluid services. You keep working; we work in the driveway.

Buying a used car in the west end? We'll meet you at the seller's address, put it on stands, and go through it properly — rust in the rockers and subframe, brake and tire life, fluid condition, codes and readiness monitors, leaks, and a compression or leak-down test where it's warranted. You get a plain-language verdict before you hand over money.
Tell us the year, make and model, the plate, and what the car is doing — or not doing. A description of the noise, the light, or the smell usually tells us more than a code does. We'll tell you honestly whether it's a driveway job or a shop job.
You get a price range for the diagnosis and the likely repair over the phone. No surprise labour hours once we're standing in front of the car. If the job turns out bigger than expected, we stop and call you before spending your money.
Home, workplace, condo garage (subject to clearance), or the side of the road. We need roughly two car-lengths of flat, legal, accessible space and permission to work where the car is parked. If you're on a street with permit parking, let us know.
Plenty of customers stand and ask questions the whole time — that's fine, we'd rather explain it. Plenty of others leave us the keys and go back inside. Either works. We clean up after ourselves and take the old parts away unless you want to keep them.

The business grew out of a simple observation: most of what goes wrong with a car doesn't need a building. It needs a competent pair of hands, the right tools, and someone who will show up when they said they would. Brakes, batteries, starters, sensors, belts, fluids, no-starts — the work that fills a shop's day is work we can do at your address, and doing it there saves you the tow, the drop-off, the second trip, and the day off work.
We work on domestic and import cars, light trucks, SUVs and minivans — the everyday vehicles that Etobicoke drives. We're open around the clock because cars don't break down on a schedule, and a dead battery at 6am on a Tuesday is exactly as urgent as one at noon on a Saturday.
